The Benefits of Investing in your Young Professionals

THE BENEFITS OF INVESTING IN YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
The millennial
generation, now entering employment in vast numbers will shape the business
world for years to come. It is estimated over 50% of the global workforce will
be made up of these professionals in 2020 and will therefore be critical to the
future of your business. CEOs tell us that attracting and keeping younger
workers is one of their biggest talent challenges.
As a powerful
generation, their career aspirations, attitudes about work, and knowledge of
new technologies will define the culture of the 21st century workplace. The
pace of change in business has never been greater. Our experience, when
training and coaching this age group, show that they are open minded, brave and
adaptable. It is therefore no surprise that those with the right skills will be
in high demand. So from an employer
perspective, there is every reason to invest time and money in your young
employees.
As we move
forward, we believe the skills needed in the workforce are going to be less
about IQ and a little bit more about EQ. We all now have IQ knowledge available to us
24 hours a day at the click of a button or the swipe of a finger. Developing an
employee’s technical skills are clearly still high priority for any employer
but providing training and improving soft skills that improve EQ, can provide a
massive advantage for your business. Quality training and coaching provides the

future leaders of your business, your young employees will need support to
develop vital leadership skills. As they

Leadership skills are something that we have to work on throughout our
careers but providing solid foundations early ensures we have the confidence to

For the last few
years we have been listening to our clients, conducting research and gaining
insight into the challenged faced by this powerful generation. As a
result we have developed our unique Young Professionals Academy which is
designed improve valuable soft skills and EQ.
The course involves 4 x 1 day modules (approx. 1 month apart) with
business related assignments set in between each session. After
completing a psychometric assessment, each delegate receives 1:2:1 coaching
before and after each module which allows us to agree their personal actions
between sessions (often based around confidence, raising their profile,
communication skills, dealing with challenging people etc.). The main
objective of the course is to fast-track the delegates in their careers and
make them valuable contributors for their employers.
